The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure sassa at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office dedicated SRD to service the area on a daily basis. The provider level developed for intervention experiences a superior influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all consumers and raise access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
